SVFCU is a cooperative owned by its members. As an owner, you have representation on a volunteer Board of Directors. This gives you a voice in how your credit union is run and, unlike a bank, credit unions have no stockholders putting their own needs ahead of your financial well-being.
We Are Local and Not-for-Profit
Money deposited into SVFCU stays here and is used to support the loan products offered to our other member/owners. In turn, finance charges from loans go toward paying dividends on savings and financing the full range of services the Credit Union offers. A financial cooperative in the truest sense, SVFCU is about People Helping People.
