The foundation of your SVFCU account is the Share Savings. The initial $5 deposit is your first 'share' or part ownership of the Credit Union. From there you can choose and customize additional services from an array of available sub-accounts, all with convenient access to your funds.

Share Savings

Your primary Share Savings account at Susquehanna Valley Federal Credit Union is the foundation of your membership. Beginning here, you can build and extend your network of services to include everything you need to organize your financial life. We encourage direct deposit and can lend a hand by automatically dispersing each paycheck into the various segments of your account.

The minimum balance for your Primary Savings is $5. Dividends accrue on Savings balances over $100; there are no maintenance or annual fees. See the Disclosure of Account Terms for full details.

Club Accounts

Set aside money in preparation for periodic expenses and short term goals with Club Accounts. These special purpose sub-accounts work under your primary share savings account. There is no minimum balance and you can deposit or withdraw anytime, at your own pace. Club accounts earn dividends at the same rate as primary Savings, credited monthly on the average daily balance. If you like, set up optional direct deposit from your paycheck to fund your Club accounts.

Money Market Accounts

Often thought of as a hybrid between Savings and Checking, SVFCU Money Market accounts earn higher dividends than the primary Savings, with the convenience of check writing ability. With a Money Market account you can make up to six withdrawals per calendar month (in cash, by check or by transfer). This six withdrawal limit is in accordance with federal regulations. The minimum balance for this sub-account is $2,500.

The Money Market is a tiered account, so the more you save, the higher your earnings will be. There is no withdrawal fee. Your money is safe and sound, protected by NCUA share insurance, which covers your account to at least $250,000 at no cost to you. See the Disclosure of Account Terms for full details.
